Ship and Install
Mood:  d'oh
You know when your working with dorks when the office that builds a pc and ships it to you don't pack it properly. You also realize that the reason the motherboard is lying on the bottom of the vertical case instead of mounted in the case is due to the fact that whomever built it didn't put a single metal stand-off under the motherboard.

Besides the case being bent when the motherboard dislodged, didn't know if it would even boot. It didn't after re-assembling the computer. Began further troubleshooting and found that the BIOS was trashed. Removed the add on's (hard drive, modem, cd and floppy) and reset the BIOS and was able to finally get the machine to load the BIOS. Then a reboot with just the hard disk drive proved successful.

I've been able to get the unit fully operational at this point. Can load software, scan and defrag, checked for viruses and downloading. So all wasn't lost after all.

I was ready to throttle the "so&so" who built and shipped it that way when I first opened the case. And heck no the jerk isn't getting a pat on the back either. I still think he needs a swift kick in the sit down place or better yet, don't let him near another build or ship.
